Hello again Calvary Chapel Springfield Church family!
Thank you so much for all your prayers, I am doing well and can’t wait until we can all gather together again. God has shown me abundant grace by preserving my life; to Him be the glory forever and ever, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
I have been monitoring the situation concerning the Covid-19 virus and President Trump’s call for churches to reassemble. How exciting!
With that in mind, we want to make sure everyone is safe and also make a way for us to minister to all.
Therefore, beginning May 31st, we will be returning to our two services, 9 and 10:45 AM.
At the 9:00 am service we’re asking that it be limited to those of older age or folks with compromised immune systems. As normal, there will be no children’s ministry during the 9 AM service.
At our 10:45 service we will offer children’s ministry and be open to anyone, any age. We ask that if you’re displaying cold or flu symptoms (even if you believe they’re just allergies), that you would be mindful of others and stay home until they’ve cleared up.
The Junior High and High School students will be staying upstairs for the 10:45 service in order to keep social distancing with our kids’ downstairs. Please don’t be offended as we will be taking the temperature of the kids before they can be a part of the children’s ministry that morning.
We will also be spacing the chairs in the sanctuary apart grouping families together. Please let our ushers know how many are in your group and please allow our ushers to show you to your seat.
We will still be broadcasting our live services online through Facebook at @CalvaryChapelSpringfieldMO or on our YouTube linked here at www.Calvaryspringfield.com but we are moving the online time to 9AM.
We will also be picking up our Wednesday evening bible study starting Wednesday June 3rd at 7pm with the book of Habakkuk. Our men’s and women’s studies have already resumed.
One more thing…. I know that we are a “huggy” church! Nothing wrong with that. But during this time of uncertainty please hold our hugs and handshakes for the time being. It’s all about showing grace one to another.
May the Lord richly bless you!
See you Sunday May 31st

Calvary Chapel of Springfield, which has for years met at a location on Seminole St. and Lone Pine Avenue, purchased the former Saco Petroleum complex in July 2018. Pastor Tom Humphrey says the congregation plans to renovate the buildings on the site and move into them by 2020.
If you know someone in need of encouragement or have suffered a loss or are ill, please let us know so that we might minister to them. See Beverly Turner or Sandee Gualtier.
We are starting a new helps ministry here at the church for those interested in helping out as well as those that need help.
It is available for those who have temporary needs due to illnesses, or surgery, or financial hardship; anyone that might need some help. It could be as simple as changing of a battery in a smoke-alarm to just staying with an elderly person while the caregiver goes out to do errands.
If you would like to help out in this ministry email Calvarywallbuilders@gmail.com or see Robyn Hammer for more information.
